Abstrakt: The article provides a history of the evolution of the clinical legal education at American University Washington College of Law (WCL). Topics discussed include sources of grants, Public Interest Law Clinic and the National Veterans Law Center, fight over Title IX that led to the clinical movement, role of WCL clinical faculty in conceptualizing theories of clinical legal education, and leadership roles of WCL clinicians in law school and in regional, national and international settings.
