Abstrakt: Little is known yet about the organizational drivers that make firms pursue higher levels of Corporate Human Rights Performance (CHRP). To overcome this gap, we present the first global study on the influence that board gender diversity has on CHRP and the moderating role of institutional pressures in this relationship. We evaluate 570 companies worldwide from 2012 to 2021 by using the two-step System Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) together with a subgroup analysis. Our results show that board gender diversity has a positive effect on CHRP and that its impact is greater in developed economies and smaller in developing countries. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
