Abstrakt: The article focuses on renal anomalies in Turner's syndrome. Several investigators have reported a high incidence of renal malformation in patients with Turner's syndrome. Fifteen children and young adults who were hospitalized because of suspected or known Turner's syndrome are the subjects of this report. All had some of the somatic abnormalities and many of the associated characteristics on which the suspicion of Turner's syndrome is commonly founded clinically. Each patient had buccal sex chromatin studies and cultures of circulating lymphocytes for chromosome analysis. The results of these studies shows that every one had laboratory evidence of at least one line of cells compatible with a chromosome complement of 45,X. Eleven subjects had structural or positional abnormalities of the kidney and collecting system, or both. Three patients by roentgenograms had a horseshoe kidney. The roentgenographic diagnosis of horseshoe kidney in patients was based on the appearance of the intravenous pyelogram which illustrates the difficulty in making the diagnosis of horseshoe kidney from the urogram.
