Solid particles fallen out after the Chernobyl accident were studied by electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis. The morphological and physicochemical characteristics of the dispersed fuel particles ejected into the environment and their nature were evaluated for different fallout directions, which supplements the existing version of the active accident stage at the 4th block of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant (CNPP).
