In order to increase the efficiency of the process of separating the grain mixture into fractions, a sieve conveyor separator has been developed. The operating device of the separator is a conveyor, the surface of which formed by sieves with round holes. An experimental study of the process of grain separation by a sieve conveyor in a heap mode has been carried out. The frequency and amplitude of vibrations of the sieve surface and the speed of movement of the working surface of the conveyor have a significant effect on the separation process. The purpose of the laboratory tests was to establish the relationship between the load and the kinematic parameters of the conveyor operation and the grain sifting capacity. The presented experimental data confirm the performance of the sieve conveyor in heap mode. The revealed interrelationships between various parameters and their influence on the sieving rate make it possible to establish the operating mode of the sieve conveyor, which ensures high efficiency. Studies have established that the kinematic mode of the working surface of the sieve conveyor ensures the orientation of the particles relative to the holes and their sifting. Different sieve loads require appropriate separation times, which are proportional to the speed of the sieve conveyor. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
