Plants and microbes form a wide range of associations. They have the ability to grow above and below ground, as well as within plants. This interaction is important for plant growth, soil structure, and disease control. It is interesting to know that this interaction eventually turned out to be mutualistic, with microbes utilizing nutrients from plants and plants evolving complex defense strategies and stress resolutions in response. Antioxidants are known to play an important role in the body's defense mechanism against ROS. The objective of this paper is to investigate plant antioxidant activity and its significance. This review also emphasized the antioxidant potential of plants and their stimulation by microbial intervention. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
