Abstrakt: The article describes the main approaches to the selection of uniform quantitative indicators of the functional safety of the course of various technological processes on railway transport and methods for their assessment. These indicators take into account the degree of influence of technological and production processes on the rail traffic safety. The proposed indicators allow, on the basis of monitoring of the progress of technological processes, to make a reasonable improvement in these processes and to develop and compare various measures to reduce the level of risk of production activity of a transport company. At the same time, the considered methods of quantitative assessment of the functional safety of technological processes are associated, first of all, with the influence of the human factor in the infrastructure unit of a transport company, for example, technology violations during the repair and current maintenance of railway infrastructure facilities; technology violations during the operation of rolling stock and railway infrastructure facilities; diagnostics and maintenance of artificial structures.
