Abstrakt: Ethanol, which is made from renewable energy, is often regarded as the most important and effective substitute for fossil fuels. It is made by fermenting unripe ingredients such as sugarcane, corn, and sweet cereals from around the world. Ethanol is commonly known as 'Gasohol' as it is blended with various petroleum products. Ethanol has replaced Methyl tertiary-butyl ether and Ethyl tertiary-butyl ether in gasoline because it enhances oxygen content. Various studies conducted worldwide have shown that the concentration of ethanol in petrol by various percentages significantly reduced GHG emissions from cars. Ethanol is also blended with diesel, however ethanol-fueled petrol is more acceptable than diesel because the latter requires more input to maintain a stable mix, which increases fuel costs. Despite the many benefits of ethanol blending, its use is limited by a variety of technical reasons such as the deterioration of the non-metallic engine component, the reduction in fuel efficiency, viscosity, and calorie value, and more.
