Abstrakt: Earthquakes are one of the most feared natural phenomena that are relatively unexpected and whose impact is sudden due to the almost instantaneous destruction that a major earthquake can produce. Such hazards on high-rise structures, especially on steel-framed structures, can cause huge damage to the people and the property. Overcoming these effects on steel-framed structures, bracing systems are used. The present paper investigates the feasibility of the application of different bracing alignments. Further seismic analysis is carried out for a G+12 building, which is designedand modeled for different bracing systems in seism struct. After the modeling is done, Incremental dynamic analysis is done, as it shows accurate results. Here 5 different types of bracing systems are analyzed. All 5 types of bracings are aligned to the structure i.e., a total of 5 structural models. And also, earthquake ground motion records are collected to obtain the peak ground accelerations and to apply them to the structure based on different seismic zones. This entire process is done in SEISMOSTRUCT software under INCREMENTAL DYNAMIC ANALYSIS. IDA involves performing non-linear dynamic analysis of a structural model under a suit of ground motion records, each scaled to several levels of seismic intensity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
