Abstrakt: In the article, the authors discuss a court case in which New Zealand's Supreme Court rejected the appeal by Trans-Tasman Resources (TTR) over its application for seabed mining consents under the Exclusive Economic (Environmental Effects) Act of 2012 (EEZ Act). In the case TTR v. Taranaki-Whanganui Conservation Board, TTR appealed the ruling of the courts quashing its approved seabed mining permits. Also cited is how the case will affect environmental law and regulation in New Zealand.
