The article focuses on future of humanities scholarship on the potential of digital spatial techniques Geographical Information Systems (GIS) for historical research. It mentions application of computational techniques, such as text analysis, on historical material, a hermeneutical analysis of the history of supporting ideas on a quantitative basis. It also mentions digital historiography is therefore not always necessary using big data to provide added value. |
