Abstrakt: The article highlights the prevalence of reproductive diseases in guinea pigs, such as ovarian cysts, tumors of the reproductive tract, endometritis, and dystocia. It emphasizes the importance of enlightening clients on preventative measures, including for young female guinea pigs, selective ovariectomy (OVE). It states that OVE is recommended over ovariohysterectomy (OVH) due to its decreased surgical challenges and postoperative care.
