All radiographic diagnostic technics must be used in the investigation of patients with chronic pancreatitis and pseudocysts. Both the radiologist and surgeon must be aware of the limitations of each procedure and to use them intelligently. Then, the definitive diagnosis will be established prior to surgical intervention so that the surgeon can do the most expeditious procedure with the least morbidity and mortality rates and assuring the patient the best results.
