In today's world, most industries are focus on productivity enhancement through effective and modern techniques implemented in the production processes. In this regard, the hole making process of drilling is widely used in small scale industries. In these sectors of industries are mostly used the conventional method of drilling leads to time- consuming, requires skilled labour, and less productivity. The scope of the present work focuses on study on mechanical properties of aluminium alloy AA6061 using pneumatic drilling machine. And the various plate thicknesses of aluminium alloy AA6061 were used to perform drilling operation with the aid of compressed air. The suitable parameters were identified to produce hole operation on the aluminium alloy with observed good surface finish and time-consuming process. Aluminium alloys are suitable for drilling operations using pneumatic drilling machine with the achieved response of close tolerance value observed. The result exhibited the 2.6 bar pressure shows the significant factor to achieve the good surface finish in the aluminium alloy of AA6061 thickness of 5mm, 10mm, 15mm [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
