Abstrakt:	The article presents a study which investigated the prevalence of hypogeusia and hyposmia comparing COVID-19 and other respiratory syndromes (RS), through a cross-sectional survey. Topics discussed include characteristics of the patients diagnosed with COVID-19 and other respiratory syndromes, link of smell and taste impairments to a broad range of viral respiratory infections, and structural changes in oral cavity of patients with COVID-19.
