Abstrakt: Bisi et al. (2013) reinforced this coastal distribution along southeastern Brazilian waters based on stable isotope analysis and indicated that Atlantic spotted dolphins and Guiana dolphins from Ilha Grande Bay have similar stable isotope signatures. The Atlantic spotted dolphin ( I Stenella frontalis i , G. Cuvier, 1829) occurs in tropical and temperate waters of the Atlantic Ocean, between 50°N and 30°S, from oceanic waters to the continental shelf and some shallow waters (Jefferson et al., 2015), with some distinct populations identified in these regions (Adams & Rosel, 2006; Caballero et al., 2013; Viricel & Rosel, 2014). Seasonal frequency was estimated for each cataloged dolphin, calculated as the number of seasons a cataloged dolphin was identified as a proportion of the total number of seasons in which at least one Atlantic spotted dolphin was observed (Benmessaoud et al., 2013).
