The uterosacral ligaments (USLs) are the most common site of deep endometriosis (DE). Methods A prospective diagnostic test accuracy study of consecutively recruited surgical patients was performed from 10 August 2020 - 31 October 2021. The index test was TVS performed and reported as previously described by Leonardi et al to evaluate the USLs and TU. Findings were compared with two reference standards: direct visualisation at surgery and histopathology. [Extracted from the article] |
