Abstrakt: Y3Al5O12, YAlO3, Y4Al2O9, Y2TiO5 and Y2Ti2O7 were synthesized by the solid-phase method. According to X-ray phase analysis data the amount of the titanates phase exceeds 91% for Y2TiO5 and 99% Y2Ti2O7. For ceramics of aluminum and yttrium oxides, the main aluminate phase is considered in the range of 72.7-87.6%. Yttrium aluminates show a significantly higher glow thermoluminescence intensity in comparison with titanates. The highest glow intensity in a pulse cathodoluminescence spectrum with its maximum at 600 nm and a thermoluminescence curve with its maximum at 610 K of all the compounds under study was achieved for aluminate YAlO3.
