The most common needs of the customers that have been identified by the antenna industry include functionality of antennas at selected frequency(s) with optimum values of corresponding gain and bandwidth. Owing to the physical constraints, miniaturization may become necessary. The use of fractals has often resulted in reduced antenna sizes with multiband and broadband response. This manuscript reviews the works that have previously attempted to customize the different antennas for user requirements in one shot through the use of parametric fractal antenna models and bio-computation techniques. We have identified the shortcomings in these works and proposed prospective measures to rectify them. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
