Background: Obesity is a global issue, but it is treatable and preventable. Therefore, this study aimed to develop an integrated-Weight Management Programme (i-WMP) among noncommunicable disease (NCD) patients for body weight reduction in primary care clinics. Materials and Methods: The i-WMP was developed based on the theoretical framework named the behaviour change wheel. It was operationalized through behaviour change techniques. Focus group discussions were conducted to get new insight to be incorporated into this programme development. Quality control of the module including content validity, face validity, and pilot study. Expected results: i-WMP is expected to reduce primary outcomes named body weight and secondary outcomes such as body mass index; waist circumference; waist-to-height ratio; body fat percentage; total sitting time. It is also expected to improve other secondary outcomes such as knowledge, attitude, and practice towards dietary and towards physical activity; total physical activity MET-minutes/week. Conclusion: Theoretical and scientific-driven i-WMP was developed and validated. By controlling the covariates, it will help to improve targeted primary and secondary outcomes. If proven effective through randomised controlled trials, it would ultimately result in a healthy and wealthy nation by reaching more NCD overweight or obese patients in long term.
