Abstrakt: Since most of the pig farms in Taiwan are farrow-to-finish farms with self-designed and non-standard pig houses, not only the number and the size of pigs in each stall vary with time, the amount of waste and the gas emission also change over time. The study targeted to overcome the differences in on-site data collection. With the combination of two systems, we are able to digitize the environmental quality, enable telemonitoring the environment, and manage more efficiently for the pig house with the accumulated data. The first system is motion control system, which contains programmable logic controller (PLC), proximity switch, limit switch, overhead crane, and box with pulley block. The other system of the study is the environment monitoring system, which includes components such as sensors of H2S, NH3, CO2, PM 2.5, relative humidity, temperature and particulate matter with pump and solenoid valve. The design of the study is to activate the motion control system at a fixed period of time, and it will shift the environment monitoring system to each pen, allowing the system to measure and record the environmental quality. The study allows farmer to monitor data changes in numerous pens with a set of equipments. In the future, more equipments and analysis technology can be combined to bring out the benefits of smart livestock house. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
