Abstrakt: Chilli (Capsicum annuum) is an essential annual sub-herb that belongs to the family Solanaceae. Chilli is affected by many diseases, one of which is anthracnose (dieback/fruit rot) of chilli. It is caused by Colletotrichum capsici. This fungus significantly damages both mature and immature fruits, which reduce the market value and nutritional value. The experiments were conducted to evaluate the isolated endophytes, bioagents and fungicides against C. capsici. 12 endophytes were isolated, out of which Aspergillus niger inhibited mycelial growth by 90.74% and Cladosporium spp. was least active, causing 37.96% inhibition. In vitro, 100% inhibition of mycelial growth due to Propiconazole and 58% due to Mancozeb treatments was recorded. Trichoderma harzianum inhibited 80.5%, and Pseudomonas fluorescens inhibited 65.5% of mycelial growth. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
