In this study, the physical characteristics, morphology, FTIR spectroscopy, and acoustical properties of nanocellulose and barium hexaferrite reinforced silicone rubber composites were characterized. The filler composition of nanocellulose and barium hexaferrite was fixed, at 3% and 10%, respectively. Dendrocalamus Asper (Bambu Betung) fiber was added by 0%, 5%, and 10%. At the frequencies of 2500 Hz, 3150 Hz, and 4000 Hz, the Sound Transmission Loss (STL) value was obtained between 24.50 dB to 43.09 dB. This composite material has the potential to be developed as a sound absorption materials for applications in medium to high frequency operating areas. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
