Software verification of an inertial navigation system.

Abstrakt: The provision of the specified accuracy characteristics is one of the main indicators of the functioning of the inertial navigation system (INS) of the aircraft. The accuracy and functional characteristics of INS are determined by the quality of the used measuring sensors: angle rates and accelerations, as well as by the functions of the built-in software and mathematical support. In terms of assessing the quality of the INS software and hardware, a verification method is proposed that is implemented by comparing the positional and speed information generated by the INS with the information generated using the new INS parametric model. The proposed verification method and the INS model ensure the determination of the minimum possible values of measurement errors based on the accuracy characteristics of the measuring sensors of the primary onboard information.
