Abstrakt: Transpiration method is used to determine the temperature dependences of the saturated vapor pressure of esters of neopentyl glycol (2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol) and linear C2–C6 monocarboxylic acids. The enthalpies of vaporization of the studied compounds at an average temperature of the experiment of 298.2 K are determined from experimental data. The dependences of the enthalpies of vaporization on the number of carbon atoms in an acid molecule are considered along with the esters' logarithmic indices of retention. The predictive capability of the original QSPR calculation method of enthalpies of vaporization at 298.2 K is estimated for neopentyl glycol esters. The difference between the calculated and experimental values is no more than 4%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
