Abstrakt: The methodology and results of parametric studies of vertical-axis wind turbines (VAWTs) based on three-dimensional aerodynamic calculations are presented. For a model wind turbine with three twisted blades, the dependence of the torque on the wind speed, the speed of rotation of the turbine, and on the variation of geometric parameters that determine the design of the turbine is studied. Estimates of the amplitude of pulsations of the torque of the wind turbine are obtained, depending on the specified parameters. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
