Abstrakt:	The article critiques the 1998 poetry collection "Under Flag," by Korean American poet Myung Mi Kim. Topics discussed include the way she acknowledged Korean immigration to the U.S. and the naturalization process for Korean immigrants in her poems, the narratives which focused on the Korean War and the postwar history of South Korea, and her construction of fragmented sentences and use of metaphors in her poems.
