Keywords: fatigue; nonmotor symptoms; Parkinson's disease EN fatigue nonmotor symptoms Parkinson's disease e35 e36 2 05/19/21 20210601 NES 210601 With great interest we read the article 'Progression of fatigue in Parkinson's disease - a 9-year follow-up' by Ongre et al. [1] The authors compared the course of fatigue in subjects with Parkinson's disease (PD) and a healthy control group identifying higher fatigue rates in PD patients, along with several factors associated with fatigue. Subjects with PD and disease controls were similarly affected (31% and 26%, I p i = 0.444), whilst healthy controls were less frequently affected by fatigue than PD patients ( I p i < 0.001). We hope to add interesting new aspects by presenting data from our EPIPARK (EPIdemiology of nonmotor symptoms in PARKinson's disease) cohort. [Extracted from the article] |
