Abstrakt:	The article examines the outbreak of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic in 2020 as of March 2021. Topics discussed include the U.S. response highlighted by the professionalism of stressed healthcare workers, the proliferation of virus defiers who disregarded health protocols, the growth of scientific information on COVID-19, and the mental illnesses wrought by it. Also noted are public health experts' expectations that this will not be last pandemic.
