The silicon in zinc concentrate is partially transformed into soluble silicon under roasting conditions, which is easy to be leached out during acidic conditions. The formation of silica sol or even gel under specific conditions seriously affects the clarification effect and filtration performance. In this paper, the effect of roasting process parameters on soluble silicon and the behavior of silica in the roasting process of a certain high-silicon zinc concentrate were studied. By controlling appropriate roasting process conditions, the production of soluble silicate was inhibited, which provided a basis for the determination of high-silicon zinc concentrate roasting process.
