President Joko Widodo announced on August 26, 2019 that Indonesia will move its capital from Jakarta to an 182,000-hectare area in the Borneo island province of East Kalimantan (Widianto & Crawshaw, [48]). Indonesia picks Jakarta capital replacement in East Kalimantan province on Borneo. Indonesia will relocate capital from sinking Jakarta to Borneo.
