The article reports on the cyanobacterium called Trichodesmium found in the Canary Islands. Trichodesmium can proliferate in areas with low nutrient content in most of the world's tropical and subtropical seas and oceans. Likewise, due to its photosynthetic and diazotrophic capacities, it plays a fundamental role in marine biogeochemical cycles |
