This article discusses processes that have contributed to strengthening both andragogic competences of adult educators, and quality assurance efforts in the educatio nal process for adults in Bosnia and Herze govina. When the education system in the country was reformed, several problems were identified that related to andragogic education, adequate training programmes and concepts, as well as the issue of financing the andragogic-didactic empowerment of teachers in adult education.
