Abstrakt: The article explores the history of Toboggans, Sledges and sleds in North America. It mentions that First Nations People constructed a sled without runners, made of poles tied together with thongs to use as transportation. It discusses how Eskimos depended on dog sleds for transportation, with the sled came the ability to employ the power and stamina of early sled dogs used to assist in hunting, trapping, fishing, migrations and as guardians of homes.
