Abstrakt: There are many potential pollution sources for contamination of farmed tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) along with the production chain. Sex reverse hormone practices for production monosex tilapia is the dominant procedures done in the field. The efficiency of cultivation with brackish water was investigated in the base of tissue fine elements and fry production. Results showed that, no significant differences between harvested sex reverse females were found for different water resources. The cultured tissues of brackish water had more metal values than surface water cultured ones but there were no significant differences (P ≤ 0.05) between two sources. Also, there was a significant difference (P ≤ 0.05) for fry production between sex reverse and untreated females cultured with brackish water. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
