These papers investigate the multi-faceted nature of accountability in the workplace. As work itself becomes more complex, it is essential to understand how organizations can encourage individuals to act responsibly and to manage their accountabilities accordingly. The papers in symposium address features of the workplace accountability environment, the role of reputation in the experience of felt accountability, mechanisms for building accountable teams, the role of leader accountability on employee performance, and team accountability.
