The results of the retrieval of average effective fields of methane concentration with the help of passive wind sensing (remote sensing) technology or Fluid Location of the Atmosphere (FLA) are presented. The quasi-two-dimensional problem of reconstructing the spatial structure of the methane distribution in the approximation of an infinitely large diffusion Peclet number and the transfer of a chemically passive pollutant is solved numerically. The initial data were the results of measurements of the surface concentration of methane during the summer expeditions of 2016 and 2017 on the Bely Island in the Kara Sea. The average concentration of methane in July-August 2016 was 1324 μg=m³, and in the summer of 2017 it increased to 1348 μg=m³. Features of long-distance wind transfer in July and August in different years are considered. The differences and common features of methane fields in this region of the Arctic during the summer periods of 2016 and 2017 are analyzed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
