Cervical cancer (CC) is the second most harmful tumor and leading cause of cancer death for woman worldwide with around 528, 000 new cases and 288, 000 deaths reported per year despite overall survival improvements due to latest vaccination and post treatment efforts. The concomitant toxicity effects after radiotherapy has redirect views to less toxic adjuvant agents. The present study aims to find a non-competitive action of synergistic, between the combined treatment of the compound Ergosterol Peroxide (EP) and the radiation dose due to a Cesium – 137 (137Cs) source, in cervical adenocarcinoma HeLa cell line. Viability analysis of the EP compound by means of colorimetric test with crystal violet assays inhibitory concentration 50 (IC50)), on the another hand, colony formation assays for the determination of lethal dose (LD50) for Cesium 137 delivered by an irradiator model BIOBEAM – GM 2000 will be measured.
