The establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic brought conditions for the adult education that was supported by the first accepted laws enabling to found institutions for the realization of this area controlled by the state. For the area of Slovakia it was Public Enlightment Federation for Slovakia, which was active as coordinative and methodical center for other organizations and it also organized many events in Bratislava and its surroundings. Public Enlightment Federation for Slovakia also organized meetings of Public Enlightment Educators in Slovakia, which, besides the reports from theory and practice, provided place for discussions and for inspiring incentives for the accepting of resolutions. These mapped the current state in the area of folk education and showed the lacks and problems that hindered the effective activity of edifying workers, methodologists, lectors, resp. teachers who participated in edifying activities.
