The aim of the paper is to assess the influence of specified factors on an intention of students who study at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences (hereinafter referred to as FFWS) at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague, to work in forestry after graduation. The aim of this research was to investigate what part of students who study the given study programmes is planning to work in forestry, and to compare the gained results with the requirements of the labour market in forestry. Research was divided in two phases. In the first phase, a guided interview was held with professionals on the subject of employment in forestry. The aim of this structured interview was to find out the university graduates´ employment rate in forestry. In the second phase, a questionnaire survey was carried out with the students of the FFWS, and the results were statistically tested. Hypotheses were formulated and the dependency between categorical (nominal) data gained from the questionnaire was tested. The results have not proved a statistical significance for any of the chosen factors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
