The article describes the case of a 22-year-old woman who experienced secondary post-partum haemorrhage (PPH) from a true uterine arteriovenous malformation (AVM). Topics discussed include the antenatal background and postnatal course of the patient, the composition of a uterine AVM, and conservative management by uterine artery embolisation to avoid a hysterectomy in women of child-bearing age. |
