Abstrakt: In this study, the core-shell emulsion was synthesized by methyl methacrylate (MMA), n-butyl acrylate (n-BA) and vinyl versatate (VeoVa-9 and VeoVa-10), where are the non-ionic emulsifier (AES) and anionic emulsifier phenolic ether phosphate (10P) as composite emulsifier, ammonium persulfate (APS) as initiator and sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) as buffer in the synthesis. The emulsion and the coating films were characterized by measuring the FT-IR, the thermal resistance of the coating, the size and distribution of the latex particles, as well as the water absorption. These results suggest that the core-shell emulsion was synthesized successfully and the coating films possessed excellent properties. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
