The article looks at the ins and outs that must be known by U.S. healthcare leaders about shifting to risk-based contracting. It identifies the types of patient care organizations that are taking the shift. Healthcare leaders are warned about challenges pose by risk-based contracting, including financial risk in contracts with the public and private purchasers and payers of healthcare and the slow process of risk-based contracting. |
