Abstrakt: | The article presents a study on the relationship of atherosclerosis and osteoporosis in elderly and middle aged men. The study performs examinations to measure markers including augmentation index (AIX), carotid intema media thickness (CIMT), and bone mineral density (BMD) in men without cardiovascular disease (CVD). Result shows that higher CIMT and lower insulin are associated to higher BMD. It also concludes that cardiovascular parameters, particularly weight is related to osteoporosis. |
