The article discusses the application of scientific approach to the development of multi-well oil pads in Eagle Ford Shale reservoir in Texas. Topics mentioned include the solving of the issues on well spacing, stimulation design and placement configuration, the use of unconventional fracture model (UFM) to simulate the shear failure mechanism during hydraulic fracturing, and the suggestion to drill in-fill wells when a reservoir is being depleted by the parent well. |
