Abstrakt: The article discusses the study on the impact of limitations for the use of registration data in adverse maternal, severe, and perinatal outcomes in various birth settings. The study mentions three categories of limitations for using register-based data including study numerator and denominator, choice of comparison groups, and external validity. It suggests the benefits of certain register-based data such as Dutch perinatal register in terms of preventing pitfalls for using registration data.
