Abstrakt: The article reports on the case of occupational dermatitis from colophony in a file quality control factory worker. Colophony in adhesives, glues, paints, soaps, paper, or by contact with pine resin, may be a source of sensitization. It comes from various species of Pinaceae. In Portugal, it is mainly obtained from Pinus pinaster, a member of the conifer order. Colophony's composition varies according to the species from where it is extracted, climatic conditions of the native country and also with the extraction and storage methods used.
