Abstrakt: This article reports on a case study of a male butcher's assistant suffering from Urticartia. He was feeding a machine daily with pig's gut as part of sausage production, and developed crusted, erosive lesions mainly on the extremities. Examination showed crusted erosions and ulcerative lesion as well as papular. Patient's history and test results strongly indicate an allergic reaction to pigs gut, both on contact and by ingestion. There are relatively few reports of immediate reactions upon contact with animal proteins, arid they are mostly as hand dermatitis.
