A case of puerperal group a streptococcal sepsis complicated by ovarian vein thrombosis.

Abstrakt: The article presents a case study of a 34-year-old woman who delivered a live-born infant at 41 weeks of gestation and her postpartum course was uneventful until day four. The computed tomography (CT) performed to the patient revealed ascites and bilateral postpartum ovarian vein thrombosis (OVT) extending to the inferior vena cava (IVC). The patient was diagnosed with OVT which is a possible complication of puerperal group A streptococcal (GAS).
