Abstrakt: The article presents situations regarding the engagement of aspiring writers, pre-law students and English teacher candidates. It describes the author's teaching a course on banned books. Scenarios include allocating worksheets for students to propose their own English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) teaching activities, discussions regarding "The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin" book and pre-law audience not being interested in Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills learning discussions.
